Manchester United are hoping to beat Chelsea to a second major coup this summer.

The Sunday Express claim that United are hopeful of landing James Rodriguez from Real Madrid - despite an increase in interest from Stamford Bridge.

Rodriguez is reportedly valued at about £70million by Real and are prepared to sell in order to help them finance a move for Monaco's Kylian Mbappe.

It is claimed that the Colombian forward favours a move to Old Trafford as he wants to link up with Jose Mourinho.

Paris Saint-Germain are also keeping a close eye on the developments.
