Paris Saint-Germain right-back Serge Aurier has agreed to join Manchester United , but must now await a decision as to whether he can enter the UK to complete the deal.

The Ivorian full-back is awaiting a trial to see if he can travel to finalise a move after Unai Emery made the 24-year-old dispensable, report Paris United.

Aurier has recorded 19 assists over the past five seasons in Ligue 1—a record for a defender in France.

While Antonio Valencia enjoyed a decent season last term, he is not a natural and Mourinho appears to have identified the position as one that can be upgraded.

But Matic – who has won the league twice at Chelsea, once under Mourinho – reported for a medical on Sunday and is hoping to finalise his move north in the next 24 hours.

He may even even been pictured in United training gear.

"I'm waiting for news. I know that he wants the move very, very much.

The Belgian midfielder was strongly linked with a move to Galatasaray, with the Turkish side's sporting director Cenk Ergun revealing he was in negotiations over a move.
