French champions Paris Saint-Germain want to sign Anthony Martial, according to reports.

Martial, 20, has endured a difficult start to the season, struggling to recapture the form of his debut campaign.

Unlike last season, the Frenchman hasn't been an automatic pick for United and last week manager Jose Mourinho warned him that he needs to start taking his chances.

The Sun say PSG will look to take advantage of Martial's struggles in Manchester and attempt to lure him back to Ligue 1.

Martial delivered his best performance of the campaign to date on Wednesday night, netting twice in United's 4-1 EFL Cup win over West Ham.

Rojo wanted by Leverkusen

Argentine defender Marcos Rojo is wanted by Bayer Leverkusen, according to reports.

The Daily Mail say United will want to recoup the majority of the £16million fee they spent on Rojo if they are to sell him in January.

A departure is unlikely given the way he has acquitted himself in the centre of United's defence over the past month, forming a good partnership with Phil Jones in the absence of Chris Smalling and Eric Bailly.

Rojo's exit would make room for United to sign another defender, with The Sun saying Southampton are resigned to losing Jose Fonte to the Red Devils.

Neymar eyed

Manchester United are monitoring Neymar's situation at Barcelona as the Brazil international continues to consider a move away from the Nou Camp.

Although United would need to surpass the world record transfer fee spent on Paul Pogba to prise him away, the club are ready to flex their financial muscles again in order to secure a truly world-class striker.

Jose Mourinho is aware that United's forward line will soon need to be upgraded again with Zlatan Ibrahimovic only signed to a short-term contract, while 31-year-old skipper Wayne Rooney is in obvious decline.

Mourinho had Neymar extensively scouted as part of Real Madrid's attempt to recruit the Brazilian from Santos while he was coaching in Spain.

Though Neymar last month signed a contract extension initially announced by Barcelona in July, well-informed sources describe the deal as “a sticking plaster” over a long standing conflict between the player and his club, report the Daily Record.

Should Neymar ultimately choose to leave this summer, Barcelona are expected to demand a transfer fee of around £180m.

United would face competition from Paris Saint-Germain to sign the forward. Madrid spent much of last season attempting to extract Neymar from their great domestic rivals, but are currently the subject of a FIFA transfer embargo.

United 4-1 West Ham: 5 things we learned

Manchester United set up an EFL Cup semi-final encounter with Hull City by seeing off West Ham in the last eight at Old Trafford, writes David McDonnell.

Anthony Martial scored twice for the Red Devils as they secured a 4-1 win with boss Jose Mourinho serving a touchline ban.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic gave the hosts the lead before Ashley Fletcher levelled things up against his former club.

Martial put United back in front shortly after the break before adding a second late on.

And Ibrahimovic wrapped things up in added time as he turned home from Ander Herrera's cross.

Here are five things we learned.

Mourinho 'so happy' with Mkhitaryan

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has finally played his way into Jose Mourinho's first team plans, writes Hamish Mackay.

The Armenian joined Manchester United this summer from Dortmund but struggled to force his way into the side, making just five appearances between August and the end of October.

But the 27-year-old has now played in United's last three fixtures and provided two assists in Wednesday's 4-1 win over West Ham.

Mourinho, who was serving touchline ban during the game, revealed he was 'so happy' with Mkhitaryan's contribution.

"I'm so happy with his performance because it was against a Premier League team with Premier League qualities and characteristics," said Mourinho.

"Against Feyenoord [last week] we could think, 'Okay, it's a different profile of football' but against a typical Premier League team, Micky could perform this way.

"We are really happy. We know the reason we bought him and were waiting for his reputation. It looks like it's coming."
