Manchester United have reportedly seen their hopes of signing Juventus striker Paulo Dybala hit Philippe Coutinho's move to Barcelona.

The Brazilian playmaker signed for the Catalans for £142million on Monday to become the second most expensive player of all time.

And according to Italian outlet Tuttosport , that fee will be used as a benchmark when it comes to negotiations with Dybala - with a fee of £154million mooted for the Argentine star.

Dybala has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent weeks and is the third-highest goalscorer in Serie A this season after having netted 14 times.

United's Dubai training camp already a success

Manchester United are in Dubai enjoying the warm weather and training hard ahead of their Premier League clash with Stoke City next week.

The Red Devils flew out to the Middle East on Monday, three days after their 2-0 win over Derby County in the FA Cup third round, which marked the end of a very busy Christmas period.

The main purpose of the warm weather training camp is to escape the cold in Britain for the sun in Dubai - the perfect way to lift spirits.

It also allows the players to recuperate and - we'd imagine - actually want to get out of bed and hit the training pitch to work on their game.

Lucas Moura has agreed to join Manchester United, according to multiple reports, though a fee has yet to be agreed with Paris Saint-Germain.

The Brazilian winger could provide some much-needed pace for the Red Devils, who will now look to strike a deal worth around €25m (£22.1m), report Italy's Gazzetta dello Sport and France's Canal+.

The 25-year-old is well down the pecking order under Unai Emery and Mourinho hopes to offer the player a lifeline - more than five years on from the Brazilian snubbing a move to Old Trafford.

The Red Devils were keen on Lucas in 2012 with the French side winning out in a €45m (£38m) move to bring the Sao Paulo starlet to Europe.
