Monaco are to test Arsenal's resolve with a £45million bid for contract rebel Alexis Sanchez.

That is according to The Sun, who say the French champions will test the water with a swoop despite the Gunners' insistence Sanchez is not for sale.

The Chilean has less than a year remaining on his current deal at the Emirates and wants to play Champions League football next term.

But Arsene Wenger is standing firm and expects Sanchez to see out the remaining months of his contract.
