Liverpool striker Divock Origi is wanted by Newcastle – who could sell Dwight Gayle for £18million.

Origi is on Rafa Benitez’ wanted list on loan – but the Reds want him to be a first choice starter as part of the deal.

Benitez’s is attempting to organise a reshuffle of his squad, including selling Gayle, last season’s top scorer.

Monaco, among other European clubs, also want Origi, and Newcastle have registered their interest.

Gayle has become disillusioned under Benitez this summer and it could be him, not Aleksandar Mitrovic, who is sold.

Leeds United have an interest after selling Chris Wood to Burnley for £15m.

Benitez has to lighten the wage bill which is pushing towards £100m before he brings in new recruits.

Grant Hanley is wanted by Norwich and Jack Colback is available with Hull interested in a loan.

Newcastle hope to complete their long standing interest in winger Kenedy, if Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain make the £35m switch to Chelsea.
