Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly ready to hijack Manchester City's move for Alexis Sanchez.

City had a bid accepted for the Arsenal forward at the end of the summer but the deal didn't go through.

Sanchez's contract expires at the end of the season and looks certain to leave the Emirates.

But according to Chilean outlet El Mecurio, PSG are hopeful of securing a deal for Sanchez - by offering a £9million signing-on fee in January.

Sanchez could agree to joining the French giants in the new year - but will he hold out for the summer to make his mind up?

Martin Keown believes Mesut Ozil is angling for a move away from Arsenal and that the reason he didn't start against West Brom on Monday night is because Arsene Wenger doesn't trust him.

The 28-year-old is into his final season at the Emirates with reports suggesting he will leave the club on a free transfer next summer and join league rivals Manchester United.

Ozil had missed Arsenal's previous three games with a knee problem, before being named on the bench against West Brom.

However, club legend Keown believes Ozil didn't start the game for a very different reason.
