Adrian wants to quit West Ham to save his World Cup dream.

Spanish goalkeeper Adrian started 16 times in the Premier League last season but is now the Hammers' second choice, following Joe Hart’s arrival on a season’s loan from Manchester City.

Boss Slaven Bilic insists England stalwart Hart will remain his No.1 and that Adrian, who signed a new two-year deal in the summer, will have to remain his understudy.

But the 30-year-old, whose only two appearances this season have been in the Carabao Cup, aims to move during the winter window to boost his chances of playing in the World Cup finals next year.

Adrian, who drew summer interest from Athletic Bilbao and Espanyol back home, said: “The market reopens in January and an agreement must be reached.

“I am not happy with this situation.

“When you are not playing, the chance to play for the national team also disappears. I just want to play.”
