Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be back playing in Manchester United red next season, according to reports.

The Sweden forward, who is recovering with a knee injury, has apparently opened talks with his former club over a new contract.

Ibrahimovic is currently using the club's Carrington training complex, as he continues his rehabilitation, and appears to be well on his way to full fitness.

As things stand the 35-year-old is a free agent, but Mourinho previously hinted he may have a place for him this season.

And MailOnline are reporting the Swedish star is on the verge of penning a new deal.

Javier Hernandez doesn't know if he can bring himself to celebrate if he opens his account for West Ham by scoring at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The Hammers' £16 million striker has been handed a dream return to Manchester United on his return to English football.

But Chicharito, 29, is unsure whether he would let it all hang out if he decorates his West Ham debut with a goal, saying: “Right now I can't imagine the emotions I would have in that moment.

“I'm going back to my old club, my old home, my old fans and for this type of game I will not go into thinking about celebration.

But things could have been very different had the Red Devils, who were scouting Isco as a 21-year-old at Malaga, attempted to bring him to Old Trafford.

Towards the end of the Sir Alex Ferguson era at Manchester United, the club were keeping tabs on Isco with a look to making a concrete bid.

A senior scout was sent to Spain to keep an eye on the youngster, and report back on whether or not he would be a good signing for the Red Devils.
