Despite huge initial promise, Adnan Januzaj's career at Manchester United never quite worked out.

The Belgian winger was tipped for great things when he broke into the team as a teenager under David Moyes, and he later became the first United player to take the No. 11 shirt following the retirement of Ryan Giggs.

The club's fans had high hopes that he'd go on to have at least a small fraction of the success that the Welshman had during his trophy-laden career at Old Trafford, but it never quite worked out.

This was probably the high point (

Last season's loan spell at a deeply disappointing Sunderland never allowed him to regain his form either, and now he's off to La Liga side Real Sociedad in a £9.8m deal.

And a few people have spotted something pretty funny in that.

Because after Moyes gave Januzaj his debut at United and then took him to Sunderland last season, the 22-year-old is now joining another of the Scot's former clubs - where he was predictably disastrous between 2014 and 2015.

Name a more iconic trio, we'll wait (

Three of Moyes's former clubs? THREE?!

Twitter was never going to fail to pick up on that...

Got something you want to tell us, Adnan?
