Arsene Wenger knows. He just knows.

The Arsenal boss might be a little old fashioned to some, but his knowledge of the beautiful game is second to none. And when it comes to escalating transfer fees he knows more than most.

Having been in the Arsenal hotseat for 21 years, there isn't much he hasn't seen, and when Manchester United forked out £89million for Paul Pogba last year, he made a bold prediction. And thanks to Neymar's record move to PSG , it looks as if it's about to come true.

As reported by the Evening Standard , when asked how long it would be until the first £150million or £200million transfer, he said.

"Not long.

"I have said that since I have been in the game at some point it has to stop, but as long as football continues to develop and become more popular more money will come in.

"What is interesting to see is that today, you have a local business and you just want to survive or you have a world business and the money comes in, whether it is Google, Facebook, football or any other sport, they are worldwide so you can’t set any limitations in the income.

"If football continues to be popular it may become much higher in the future."

Much higher than £199million?!

We'll believe it when we see it, Arsene.
