If we asked you to name the dirtiest team in the Premier League, we know what you'd be thinking.
You would probably assume the sides who commit the most fouls are the ones who don't have much possession; the ones who need to rough up their superior opponents and boot the better teams all over the park.
Well, if you that was your thought process, you were wrong.
VERY wrong.
Take a look at this chart, which reveals the Premier League teams who have committed the most fouls this season.

Remarkably, the two teams who have been penalised most often are Chelsea and Manchester United.
Antonio Conte's men are top of the naughty list, with 68 fouls, while Jose Mourinho's side are second, with 63.
In comparison, their fellow big boys are all much further down the table.
Arsenal and Tottenham (both on 58) are down in sixth - but Manchester City (16th, with 46) and Liverpool (19th, with 42) are at the opposite end of the list.
When it comes to Conte's henchmen, it's not simply the fouls conceded, either.
Chelsea have received three red cards in the Premier League this season. Only one other team (Man City, 2) have seen red more than once.
They are also third on the list for bookings, with 10. Only Crystal Palace (14) and Newcastle (12) have picked up more yellow cards this season.
Who would have thought this guy's team would be prone to fouling opponents?
