This summer's transfer window has been one of the more remarkable of recent times thanks to the huge amounts being spent.

But if this list of players whose contracts are expiring in the summer of 2018 is anything to go by, it could be that next summer the news is all about free transfers.

Because a stellar list of names featuring World Cup, European Championship and Champions League winners are set to be available for nothing next summer if they don't sort out new deals in the current campaign.
