Wednesday night's Champions League playoff clash with Hoffenheim was being billed as Liverpool's biggest game since they lost the 2016 Europa League final.

Having won the first leg in Germany 2-1, the Reds welcomed their Bundesliga opponents for the second clash at Anfield undoubtedly confident that they can make it through, but surely wary of their talented opponents and their gifted young manager Julian Nagelsmann.

The 30-year-old has carved out a reputation as one of the finest young managers on the continent, and he was talking a good game before sending his team out to play at Anfield, even chatting to Jurgen Klopp in the warm-up.

The German is clearly a promising coach, but as fans tried to get to grips with how young he looks...

... others were transfixed by what he was wearing.

And as Liverpool started tearing into his side, going 3-0 up inside 21 minutes, the youthful Nagelsmann began to look like a lost tourist.

Oh well, he looks young enough to get away with it, right?
