We've written these words many, many times before, but... poor old Arsenal.

Gunners fans are suffering right now after a miserable transfer deadline day saw no new arrivals come into the club, a potentially disinterested Alexis Sanchez stay at the Emirates and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain leave for Liverpool.

One of the fiercest critics of the goings on was Arsenal's second all-time top goalscorer Ian Wright, who tweeted an image looking very unhappy as it became apparent that Arsenal - who have lost their last two Premier League games - weren't going to do any business.

Wright then hit out at the decision to keep Sanchez at the club.

He tweeted: "It's bad business to let Sanchez walk out next year for free. Take the f*****g money! He don't want to be there! We're Arsenal show some pride!"

And after that, he revealed a new Twitter profile picture which takes the feelings of Gooners around the world to the extreme.

The image showed Arsenal mascot Gunnersaurus turning the club's famous cannon crest around in order to shoot himself in the face.

Wright tweeted it along with the hashtag #NewProfilePic, and did soon make it his new profile image.

Maybe a few Gooners will be following suit?
