Thank goodness for the Premier League coming back, eh?

And after the humdrum nature of an international break that we'd all like to stick the middle finger up to, the top flight returns with a titanic clash between Manchester City and Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday lunchtime.

Both clubs have started the season with two wins and a draw from their opening three Premier League games, with Liverpool catching the eye in their 4-0 dismantling of Arsenal at Anfield last time out.

And that was just the latest in a long line of impressive results that the Reds have recorded against the teams that, like them, finished in the top six last season.

Since arriving in the Premier League in October 2015, Jurgen Klopp's record in the big games is so good, that if you were to put all of the matches between the six into a league table, his side would be nine points clear at the top.

After a goalless draw at Tottenham in his first ever Premier League match, Klopp's only defeat in a top six game came in a 1-0 loss at home to Manchester United in January 2016.

He's nine points ahead of Chelsea and Tottenham in the table, while Saturday's opponents Manchester City sit bottom having won just three of their 18 matches against fellow top six dwellers in the last 23 months.

Points gained from matches against the rest of last season's top six since Jurgen Klopp was appointed Liverpool manager
