Chelsea submitted their full squad list to the Premier League on Friday, and up until recently you'd have got pretty long odds on Diego Costa being on it .

The Spanish international was heavily tipped for a move away from the Blues this summer, after a row with boss Antonio Conte seemed to have spelled the end of his career at the club.

But despite strong interest from his former club Atletico Madrid, both the English and Spanish transfer deadlines passed without him securing a move away.

And while both the forward and Conte might not be too happy about that, it seems as though at least one man at Stamford Bridge is ready to laugh about it.

Step forward Thibaut Courtois.

The Blues goalkeeper took to Twitter after Costa's inclusion in the squad to echo Gerard Pique's infamous "Se Queda" (he stays) tweet about Neymar, which was sent at the height of the speculation surrounding the Brazilian's move to Paris Saint-Germain.

He left in the end, of course, but Costa won't be able to do that until January at the earliest. And Courtois clearly finds that very funny.

The goalkeeper's tweet had been retweeted 43,000 times and liked 60,000 times by Saturday afternoon, while when he shared it on Instagram it was liked by teammates Willian and Marcos Alonso.

Pique's tweet has become a viral hit ever since he posted it on July 23, with the Barcelona defender roundly mocked after Neymar's move.
