Natsaha Jonas cannot wait to fight in front of her hometown fans for the first time as a professional this Saturday.

Natasha Jonas is relishing the prospect of fighting in front of her hometown fans in Liverpool this weekend, live on Sky Sports Arena.

Jonas, who made history at London 2012 when she became the first British female to box at the Olympics, fights Bojana Libszewska at Liverpool's Echo Arena in her second bout since turning professional earlier this year.

Paul Butler's clash with Stuart Hall in a world title eliminator is the headline bout with Jonas' fellow Liverpudlians Rocky Fielding and Tom Stalker also in action, alongside Finchley heavyweight Dereck Chisora.

Former Team GB boxer Jonas dazzled on debut against Monika Antonik in June, stopping her opponent after just 92 seconds in Newcastle.

Jonas was thrilled with her debut performance but insists she won't be taking Libszewska lightly.

"Newcastle was a brilliant debut and people really got being me and supported me but there is nothing like being at home," Jonas told Sky Sports News.

"Scousers love boxing and they love to get behind their own. They just love to be involved and support their own. It's going to be a great night of boxing, there is a brilliant a card with lots of good fights on there and I think everyone will enjoy it.

"Nothing is ever a formality in boxing. You've got to train hard and there is lots of weeks of training before you even get into the ring for fight night.

"I got a lot from the training [before my last fight]. I got a lot from the spars and I just soaked up the atmosphere.

"I knew the whole world was watching because it was my first one and the main thing was to make a statement on my debut and hopefully I did that."

Libszewska has had 27 professional fights but Jonas says she has not seen much of her Polish opponent.

"I know that she fought Chantelle Cameron last," Jonas added.

"That's all the footage we've got really but we're going in with our game-plan. We're hoping to stick to that and make her adapt to us rather than us adapting to her."

Watch Natasha Jonas versus Bojana Libszewska on the undercard for Paul Butler versus Stuart Hall, with Rocky Fielding battling David Brophy and Sean Dodd taking on Tom Stalker, from 7pm this Saturday on Sky Sports Arena.
