Record signing Marko Arnautovic scored his first West Ham goal in a 2-2 draw with Werder Bremen.

Arnautovic, who signed from Stoke in a £25m deal, turned in Arthur Masuaku's deflected cross for a 25th-minute equaliser.

Luca Caldirola had given Bremen a 15th-minute lead in Lohne, with England goalkeeper Joe Hart unable to stop the close-range header on his Hammers debut.

Young Spanish striker Toni Martinez, 20, put West Ham ahead after 75 minutes when he headed home Andre Ayew's cross.

But Zhang Yuning, the Chinese striker on loan from West Brom, struck nine minutes from time to hand Bremen the Betway Cup 3-2 on aggregate.

Ivan Cavaleiro's super strike proved to be the winner at Molineaux as Wolves saw off Leicester City in a narrow 1-0 win.

Summer signing Harry Maguire once again featured in defence for the Foxes, who went closest through Jamie Vardy in the first half.

But Cavaleiro curled home a magnificent shot in the second half to seal an impressive win for Wolves ahead of next weekend's Championship opener.

Joselu scored a late winner for Stoke as they came from behind to beat Bolton 2-1.

The forward, who had already cancelled out Adam Le Fondre's opener, tapped home his second of the game two minutes from time.
