Jose Mourinho has revealed he plans to rotate his three goalkeepers during the pre-season tour in the US in a big vote of confidence for Joel Pereira.

The 21-year-old Pereira, who made his first-team debut in January, signed a contract extension last week which keeps him at Manchester United until the summer of 2021, with the option of a further year.

Mourinho rates Pereira highly, tipping him to become "the best Portuguese goalkeeper of the next generation" and he will be given an opportunity to play with the first team during the preseason.

The United boss revealed David de Gea split time with Pereira in United's first match against LA Galaxy on Sunday.

Sergio Romero and Pereira will share goalkeeping duties against Real Salt Lake on July 18 with De Gea and Romero rotating against Manchester City on July 21.
