We round up the latest Manchester United transfer rumours from around the British and European press on Friday, August 17.

Real Madrid could try again to sign David de Gea from United before the transfer window closes, according to The Sun.

The Spanish champions will reportedly bid £46m to try and get the man they almost signed two years ago in the January transfer window.

Meanwhile, United have not given up on Ivan Perisic - with a £39m offer to Inter Milan still on the table, according to The Daily Mirror.

The Manchester Evening News report that United may try and make a move for Julien Draxler at PSG if their bid for Perisic fails.

The French club are reportedly under pressure to generate funds to appease Financial Fair Play after breaking the transfer world record to purchase Neymar from Barcelona.

United's signing of Nemanja Matic has been hailed as a "masterstroke" by former club captain Bryan Robson.
