Jose Mourinho and Mo Farah were among the stars to take part in the #Game4Grenfell as Les Ferdinand's team beat a side managed by Alan Shearer 5-3 on penalties after a 2-2 draw at Loftus Road on Saturday.
Stars from the world of sport, music and entertainment will gathered in west London for a special football match in aid of those affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy.
Farah, Peter Crouch, David Seaman, Jack Whitehall, Olly Murs and Marcus Mumford were just a few of the names to feature for Team Ferdinand, while Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp joined Mourinho, Trevor Sinclair, Lee Mack and Ben Cohen for the charity match.
Before kick-off, Loftus Road remembered all those who tragically lost their lives in the Grenfell Tower fire in June with the laying of wreaths and an impeccably observed minute's silence.
The football soon followed and the crowd were treated to an early goal with Farah, who was named man of the match, taking advantage of some poor defending, to power a strike beyond David James and into the back of the net.
Team Shearer were back on level terms in the 12th minute with McFly's Danny Jones the creator, driving forward before the ball found its way to Sinclair, who was in an offside position, but the flag stayed down and the former QPR star poked home from close range.
Soccer Saturday regular Paul Merson was also in the Team Ferdinand squad but he was reduced to a watching brief in the first-half but he did have time to eat a piece of Black Forest gateau on the bench.
Just before the break both sides made some special substitutions with four firefighters who tackled the Grenfell Tower fire taking to the field.
At half-time Emeli Sande, Rita Ora and Mumford took centre stage with a special performance of Lean on me before the action got back underway with Team Shearer taking the lead.
And it was a goal worthy of any game with Sinclair striking a 25 yard free-kick into the top corner, wrong-footing substitute goalkeeper Shay Given in the process.
Team Shearer's advantage was almost doubled in the 57th minute when Game of Thrones actor Iain Glen almost turned musician James Bay's shot into his own net, but luckily for Glen the ball rebounded back off the post.
Mourinho was introduced in goal the 63rd minute, replacing David James and he was straight into the action punching the ball away from a corner. The Manchester United boss was then cautioned for time-wasting, much to the amusement of the Loftus Road crowd.
He was then beaten in the 76th minute and the Portuguese manager was not happy with his defence. Murs' defence-splitting pass picked out Stan Collymore at the far post, and the former Aston Vila striker's cross picked out Kasabian's Chris Edwards, who tapped home from close range.
Another special moment took place in the 80th minute as four survivors of the fire itself came on and Loftus Road rose as one for them.
As the game came to a close QPR legend Kevin Gallen went close for Team Shearer, while Merson almost won it for Team Ferdinand but at the end of the 90 minutes the two sides couldn't be separated.
It meant the #Game4Grenfell would be decided by a penalty shoot-out with the goalkeepers Mourinho and Chris Wood from Bastille.
Firefighters and Grenfell residents stepped up to take the penalties and it was left to Olly Murs to fire home the winning penalty past Mourinho, who scored one himself, to win the game for Team Ferdinand.
