Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho to attend tax fraud hearing in Madrid on Friday

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho will travel to Madrid to attend his tax fraud hearing on Friday morning.

Mourinho has been summoned to answer accusations of non-payment of £2.9m in taxes between 2011 and 2012, while manager of Real Madrid.

United's scheduled media conference ahead of Sunday's game against Chelsea - live on Sky Sports - will take place on Thursday, rather than the usual Friday appointment.

Sky Sports News understands the United boss is planning to travel to Spain on Thursday evening.

Mourinho will attend the court in Pozuelo de Alarcon in Spanish capital, starting at 10am (9am GMT) before returning to Manchester by private jet on Friday afternoon.
