How are the Sky Sports Power Rankings calculated?

We've tweaked last season's methodology to place less emphasis on team results - so players at lesser clubs will have a better chance to shine this term.

Alexis Sanchez topped last season's rankings after scoring 24 Premier League goals and assisting another 10, although the 28-year-old could potentially leave Arsenal on a free transfer when his contract expires next summer.
