Wolfsburg are hoping to take Liverpool striker Divock Origi on a season-long loan, according to Sky sources.
Origi has struggled to secure a regular first-team place at Anfield since joining from Lille in a £10m deal in 2014.
The Belgium international faces increased competition for places this season following the arrival of Dominic Solanke and Mohamed Salah from Chelsea and Roma respectively.
The 22-year-old did not even make the squad for Sunday's win over Arsenal having fallen down the pecking order behind Solanke.
Origi has featured just once this season for the Reds, playing in the 3-3 draw at Watford on the opening day of the Premier League season.
It is understood that Liverpool are open to the idea of Origi going abroad for regular first-team football.
