Jurgen Klopp put local rivalry to one side as he left a get-well-soon message for a young Everton supporter on Tuesday.

An aunt of 13-year-old Noah Cunningham bumped into Klopp at a Merseyside petrol station and asked for a selfie to send her nephew as he recovers from spinal surgery in hospital.

Reds boss Klopp instead suggested making a video, in which he wished young Noah well and signed off with: "See you at the latest derby."

The German's charitable gesture did not extend to predicting an Everton victory, though: when Noah's aunt Aliston Ruston chipped in with "When we win" Klopp replied: "Yeah, of course not."
