Former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler says he "wants to be a manager" and has described Steven Gerrard as a "very good coach".
The 42-year-old has been working towards his UEFA pro license, and says he found the process "enjoyable" as well as stating his intention to become a manager.
"When you do the pro licence course, you're treated more like an adult. The A and B are good, but the pro licence is brilliant. It really was enjoyable," he told Soccer AM.
"The analogy I'd use is like going from fourth year seniors to fifth year seniors where the teachers just treat you a little bit older and a bit more like an adult. The pro licence was very good and I really enjoyed it.
"I want to be a manager and that's my end game. I miss the game and I've got plenty to give as well."
His former team-mate Gerrard has also began his managerial career, currently coaching the Liverpool U18 squad, and Fowler has praised the ex-midfielder.
When asked if Gerrard had tapped him up for some striking sessions with his youngsters, Fowler said: "Not yet. He's Steven Gerrard, he can do anything anyway. To be fair, Steven is a very good coach and all the lads love him. He's got some good results as well."
