Chris Kamara reveals that regular Goals On Sunday viewer Simon Mignolet watched advice from Heurelho Gomes on last week's show

Watch as Chris Kamara explains how Goals on Sunday can claim some of the credit for Simon Mignolet's penalty save.

Having looked to be cruising to a 3-1 victory over Leicester, Liverpool almost threw away two points, after allowing Jamie Vardy to score, before gifting the Foxes a soft penalty.

Vardy stepped up to grab an equaliser, but Mignolet beat the spot-kick away - his seventh penalty save in 15 in the Premier League - a stop Kamara is sure can be attributed to last week's show.

"The only reason he saved that penalty was because he was watching Goals On Sunday last week," Kamara claimed.

"What we did last week with Heurelho Gomes is we showed him the Jamie Vardy penalty against him [from 2015] - pretty much goalkeeper's right, down the middle, then last weekend against Huddersfield, in the same spot, head down and drive it.

"Simon watched the show last week, thinking maybe Vardy will hit it down the middle. All we can do is to apologise to Jamie Vardy, and say congratulations to Simon!"
