Philippe Coutinho is a doubt for Liverpool's game against Huddersfield on Saturday after straining his abductor muscle.
The Brazilian star faces a fitness test after training on Friday afternoon to determine whether he will be available.
Speaking at his Friday press conference, Jurgen Klopp said: "Last week he had back problems. It settled with treatment, he was fit for the game, this week he had an abductor problem, it's not clear so far if he's out tomorrow.
"We'll make the decision after training today. He didn't train yesterday."
There was some better news on the injury front with Klopp confirming Adam Lallana and Sadio Mane are expected to be available after the international break, when Liverpool host Southampton on November 18.
England international Lallana has not played for the Reds since picking up a thigh injury during a preseason loss to Atletico Madrid while Mane has been out since injuring his hamstring while playing for Senegal on October 7.
Klopp said: "After the international break, Lallana and Mane should be back. Hopefully they can be part of normal training in that break."
