Arsenal's Jack Wilshere and Liverpool's James Milner discuss the thrilling Friday Night Football game which ended 3-3 at the Emirates

James Milner believes Liverpool must be "more boring" to see games out and earn more victories after Jurgen Klopp's side drew 3-3 at Arsenal.

Goals from Philippe Coutinho and Mohamed Salah put Liverpool 2-0 up at the Emirates on Friday night, with the Gunners looking disjointed as they failed to have a shot on target in the first half.

However, 13 minutes into the second half, Arsenal stormed into a 3-2 lead, only to be pegged back by a Roberto Firmino equaliser. Milner was not content with just one point, though, and believes poor defending cost Liverpool once more.

Highlights: Arsenal 3-3 Liverpool

"I think when you're in position like that, at this level you've got to see the game out," Milner told Sky Sports. "You've got to be more boring.

"We were obviously very good going forward, but those are times in the game where you've got to tighten up for five minutes.

"All the goals were our fault and that's something we need to learn from because it seems to be a theme for us this year.

"We play such good football and sometimes we just need to switch that off for five to 10 minutes in a game and learn about the game and sense the situations.

"When it is time to take it easy, play a bit tighter and keep the ball a bit longer - rather than trying to break every time. Against good teams, at this level, you get punished and it happened today."
