Italy

Inter have reportedly turned down the opportunity to sign Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil. The Germany international was offered to several different Italian clubs but was rejected by all of them. Ozil's contract at Arsenal runs out next summer and is believed to be on his way out of the Emirates, with no further indication that he will sign an extension to his deal. (Calciomercato)

Under-fire AC Milan coach Vincenzo Montella has sacked the club's fitness coach Emanuele Marra as he looks to transform his side's fortunes. Pressure has mounted on Montella after Milan lost 2-0 to Sampdoria at the weekend, and he has taken his first step by parting ways with the trainer. Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is weighing up a move for Inter Milan winger Antonio Candreva. The 30-year-old has endured a shaky start to the campaign and reports have linked him with a Stamford Bridge switch in January. Candreva cost the Nerazzurri £19m when they signed him from Lazio in 2016, but was booed off the pitch during the club's recent 1-0 win over Genoa. (Calciomercato)

Spain

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane praised Gareth Bale after the Welshman's spectacular opening goal in the 3-1 Champions League win over Borussia Dortmund. Bale's left-footed volley opened the scoring as Madrid clinched another three points, and Zidane says he hopes it will be a turning point for the 28-year-old having endured a difficult time with injury and form. Paris Saint-Germain boss Unai Emery is taking steps to restore peace between quarrelling forwards Edinson Cavani and Neymar. The pair fell out over the taking of a penalty against Lyon on September 17 and it has developed into a major controversy at the French club. However, Emery says he has spoken to both players and told them 'how things will work from here.' (El Pais)

The 23-year-old Juventus forward has started the season in scintillating form, with 10 goals in six league games, and would reportedly cost interested clubs £150m. Arjen Robben has mocked big-spending Paris Saint-Germain by saying that "money doesn't score goals". Bayern Munich face PSG on Wednesday night in a mouth-watering Champions League tie, but the 33-year-old winger has warned the likes of Cavani, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe that quality on the pitch, not lavish spending, will deliver titles. PSG's clash with Bayern tonight has been described as Neymar's 'biggest match,' but he is 'raring to go.' The Brazilian has been criticised for being egotistical following his penalty spat with Cavani, but both players are expected to start for the Ligue 1 club tonight at the Parc des Princes as they look to make an emphatic statement of intent by beating the five-time European champions. Monaco striker Radamel Falcao admits that Tuesday night's 3-0 loss to Porto is 'difficult to explain.'
