Soccer Saturday pundits predict Chelsea v Arsenal and Manchester United against Everton

Soccer Saturday pundits Paul Merson, Matt Le Tissier, Phil Thompson and Charlie Nicholas cast their verdict

The Soccer Saturday pundits provide us with their selections for a blockbuster Super Sunday, live on Sky Sports Premier League.

We kick off with a London derby as champions Chelsea host Arsenal, before Wayne Rooney makes his Old Trafford return when Everton take on Manchester United.

Here's what the Soccer Saturday pundits are predicting for the two mouthwatering clashes...

Paul Merson

Chelsea v Arsenal - Nissan Super Sunday from 12.30pm, Sky Sports Premier League

It's all about the first goal. If Arsenal score first you will watch and think 'wow, they look decent'. They will be confident and they have good players who look decent when they are winning.

But when they are losing too many of them just go completely and utterly missing. The shape goes out of the window and if they let in the first goal it could be anything. People are saying to me 'what a good result against Bournemouth,' but if you could have handpicked any team to play last week it was Bournemouth.

If Arsenal score first it will be a very interesting match, but I don't think they will.

Manchester United v Everton - Nissan Super Sunday from 3.30pm, Sky Sports Premier League

Everton have disappointed me this season. They have signed all these players, but last week they got ripped apart by Tottenham and they weren't much better at Stamford Bridge before that. I don't see anything other than a comfortable Manchester United win.

Paul Pogba has been playing well and will be a miss, although not in this game. Marouane Fellaini will come in and will probably cause Everton problems. They will be alright for this game without Pogba.

Charlie Nicholas

Chelsea v Arsenal

Arsenal need to send a statement by not losing this, but these are the games where they tend to let themselves down. Eden Hazard hasn't looked as sharp and Arsenal have played Antonio Conte four times and beaten him in three of those encounters, but I still can't see anything but a Chelsea win here.

Charlie predicts: 3-1 and Willian to score first (60/1 with Sky Bet)

Man Utd v Everton

I think this going to be an awkward one for Manchester United after seeing them against Stoke. Everton obviously lack goals but they can make it difficult, especially without Paul Pogba, and I can see this being a heated affair, perhaps with a red card playing a big part.

Charlie predicts: 1-1 and Sigurdsson to score first (90/1 with Sky Bet)

Matt Le Tissier

Chelsea v Arsenal

Obviously, Chelsea have had an extra couple of days rest and they are already a better team, so I think they will win by a couple of goals here, with Morata building on his impressive start.

Le Tiss predicts: 2-0 and Morata to score first (20/1 with Sky Bet)

Man Utd v Everton

Again I think it will be a fairly comfortable home. After watching Everton getting dismantled by Spurs last weekend, I think they'll have their work cut out. Would have gone for more home goals if Pogba was playing, but Lukaku will fancy himself against his former club and it wouldn't surprise me if he scored a couple.

Le Tiss predicts: 2-0 and Lukaku to score first (9/1 with Sky Bet)

Phil Thompson

Chelsea v Arsenal

I think Chelsea are in a better place. I covered Arsenal last weekend and Bournemouth were very poor. Chelsea are a lot more settled and I can see them winning fairly comfortably with Morata opening the scoring.

Thommo predicts: 3-1 and Morata to score first (30/1 with Sky Bet)

Manchester United v Everton

I'm expecting a comfortable Manchester United victory having had a bit more of a rest with playing Tuesday. Pogba could be missed but this where Mourinho is better equipped with his strength in depth and, with Everton's trip to Italy going so badly, everything points to a home win.

Thommo predicts: 2-0 and Lukaku to score first (9/1 with Sky Bet)
