Vincent Janssen has been left out of Tottenham’s 25-man squad for the Champions League.
The striker and Argentine winger Erik Lamela are notable absentees from Mauricio Pochettino's squad for the competition's group stages, which get underway next week.
Janssen, who managed just two goals in 27 Premier League appearances following his move from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar last summer, has been pushed further down the pecking order at Spurs due to the Deadline Day arrival of Spanish striker Fernando Llorente.
Lamela is a long-term absentee for Tottenham and has not played in almost 11 months after twice undergoing surgery to try and cure a troublesome hip injury.
Spurs' other summer signings Serge Aurier, Davinson Sanchez, Juan Foyth and goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga are all included in the squad.
Frenchman Georges-Kévin N'Koudou, who started just two games for Spurs in all competitions last season, is also included in the squad along with compatriot Moussa Sissoko.
Tottenham entertain Borussia Dortmund in their opening Champions League fixture of the season at Wembley Stadium next Wednesday.
Pochettino's side have been drawn in Group H and will also play reigning champions Real Madrid as well as Cypriot side Apoel.
