Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski feels the club need to do something special if they're to be competitive in the transfer market. The club were priced out of a move for Alexis Sanchez this summer and the Polish forward was frustrated by this: "Bayern needs to think up something and be creative when the club wants to lead a world class player to Munich." Bayer Leverkusen have submitted an application to FIFA after the Argentine Football Association denied the release of River Plate striker Lucas Alario. The Bundesliga side paid the forward's release clause but the Argentine club are saying this is void because it happened after the season had got underway. (SportBild)
New Paris Saint-Germain signing Kylian Mbappe, who scored on his debut during their 5-1 victory over Metz, has revealed he opted to move to Paris ahead of Madrid because of the first-team football on offer: "I felt that at PSG, I would have more opportunities to play than at Real Madrid." (Marca)
