Kyle Walker insists Tottenham will always remain in his heart despite his summer switch to Manchester City.
The 27-year-old moved to Manchester City from White Hart Lane for £50m on a five-year deal in July, making him the world's most expensive defender.
Walker made more than 180 appearances for Tottenham during his eight-year spell at the club, and admits departing for Manchester City during the summer was "incredibly" difficult.
"They were the ones that gave me my Premier League opportunity - they believed in me," Walker said in an interview with The Times.
"I'm not going to sit here and lie and say it wasn't tough. Having spent eight years there, that club is in my heart. I'm not going to deny that - Tottenham is in my heart."
Walker's time with Spurs helped him break into the international set-up where he made his senior England debut in 2011, while he was named PFA Young Player of the Year the following year.
And the former Sheffield United trainee admits he is saddened when recollecting on his time at White Hart Lane.
"Sometimes I feel like crying when I think about it," Walker added.
"That I spent eight years there and I'll never see that place again. But I'm a man. I'm a professional."
Tottenham Hotspur travel to Huddersfield Town on Saturday lunchtime, live on Sky Sports Premier League.
