Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O'Hara has been charged with allegedly assaulting a teenage football fan, and will appear in court on November 10.

O'Hara, who plays for Billericay Town in the Bostik Premier League, allegedly hit out at a 16-year-old boy following Town's 3-2 defeat to Leatherhead in April.

A Surrey Police statement said: "A 31-year-old man has been summonsed to court in relation to an assault on a teenage boy.

"The incident took place following a football match in Leatherhead on April 15. The man is due to appear at Guildford Magistrates Court on November 10.''
