Watch as NFL commissioner Roger Goodel is shown round the new Tottenham stadium site

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has said "the new Tottenham Hotspur stadium is clearly going to be a world-class venue" after a guided tour of the build with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.

The NFL have been in London for a series of matches and a record crowd of 74,237 watched the Minnesota Vikings beat a spirited Cleveland Browns performance 33-16 at Twickenham on Sunday.

Goodell, NFL executive vice-president Mark Waller, Levy and Spurs' executive director Donna-Maria Cullen took the chance to check on the progress of the new 61,500-seater development adjacent to the former White Hart Lane site, which will host Tottenham from the 2018-19 season.

NFL chief Goodell said: "The new Tottenham Hotspur stadium is clearly going to be a world-class venue. We are very pleased with how closely we have been able to work with the club, and are optimistic that the broader regeneration plan will make for an extraordinary experience for NFL fans."

Levy said: "It is always a pleasure to welcome the NFL to Tottenham and for them to see the vision that we share becoming a reality right in front of us.

"We have worked closely with them throughout this project and their involvement will play a significant part in helping us create one of the most compelling venues for sports and entertainment in the world, right here in Tottenham."
