The FA on Friday said it had sought observations from Guardiola, who has until December 4 to respond.

Guardiola approached Redmond following City's last-minute 2-1 victory over Southampton where he started to seemingly shout at the 23-year old.

However, Redmond took to social media on Thursday to explain how the City boss was "complimentary" to his qualities, insisting nothing "negative or offensive" was said.

"Yes he was very passionate, intense and aggressive but he was only very complimentary and positive to me," Redmond said.
