Sam Clucas has completed his move from Hull to Swansea after completing a medical, in a deal that could be worth up to £16.5m.

Burnley had a bid for the 26-year-old midfielder rejected earlier in the transfer window and Swans boss Paul Clement has now won the race for Clucas, who joins on a four-year contract.

Clucas was not in the Hull team at QPR last weekend as speculation surrounding his future continued, with the player forced to insist on social media he was not on strike.

"I've seen a lot of Swansea and one of the main reasons I decided to come here was because of the way they play football. I think it suits me." Clucas told the club's website.

"I had a bitter sweet season last year with relegation. Because of my playing background, I never thought I would play in the Premier League so I relished every game I played. From the first time I kicked a ball in the Premier League it was a dream come true."

"Once you've had a taste for the Premier League you always want to go back. So when the chance came up for me to do that again at Swansea, I grabbed the opportunity with both hands.''

The left-sided player featured in all but one of Hull's matches in the Premier League last season and turned in some impressive performances, despite being unable to help keep the Tigers in the top-flight.
