Paul Clement said his Swansea side only played "for 40 minutes" as Watford dealt them a third-straight home defeat with a 2-1 win at the Liberty Stadium.
Swansea were slow to get going and Andre Gray capitalised on a loose pass from Wilfried Bony before smashing home his first goal for Watford.
A double substitution at half-time saw Clement bring on Tammy Abraham and Roque Mesa, and while it was the former who levelled for the Swans, the latter gave away possession in the build-up to Richarlison's 90th-minute winner.
Clement bemoaned the disappointing way Swansea "gifted" Watford their two goals, while he also questioned his side for the manner of their defeat.
"We were really poor in the first half. The second half we were much better but overall it was a 90-minute game where we played for 40 minutes," Clement told Sky Sports after the match.
"I'm really disappointed with the way we played in the first half, we were second best in all areas.
"I changed the system at half-time - I had to do it - and we took control of the game and continued to threaten after getting a good goal.
"But overall I've got to be disappointed with the whole game. And two goals that we gifted to the opposition.
"On 90 minutes, a misplaced pass, a missed tackle and that should never have happened.
"We have to know that alright we might not win the game, but don't lose it, and for some reason it's very difficult for us at home this season."
Swansea's home fans vented their frustrations throughout the first half as their side failed to register a single shot on target.
The changes from Clement at half-time lifted the mood at the Liberty Stadium, but the joy following Abraham's equaliser failed to spur the Swans onto victory.
"The fans rightly showed their disappointment in the first half and it was much better in the second half, but we have to be better over a full game," Clement added.
"They're desperate to see their team play well and get a positive result. They've come here for three games now and they've not seen their team perform well over a 90-minute period.
"I feel disappointed about that. Next thing we have to do is go to West Ham and get a result."
