Paul Clement believes Swansea can learn a lot from this weekend's opponents Burnley who, he says, have shown great mental strength in "managing their games very well" this season.
While the Swans are languishing inside the relegation zone of the Premier League, the Clarets are currently in the top half of the table - with 11 more points than this Saturday's visitors to Turf Moor.
Looking ahead to the game, Clement told Thursday's pre-match press conference: "We've only won two games of the 11 we've played.
"But I have to say the application of the players, and the spirit, is very good.
"Clearly we're disappointed with our position. You have to find that balance between being stubborn defensively - and our defensive record is not too bad - but we need to find some momentum going forward.
"Seven goals form 11 games is not a good tally. But saying that, you look at Burnley - up in seventh position - who have only scored three more goals than us.
"And what they've managed to do, and the opposite to us, they've come off the back end of some very tight games, on the right side of results - one-nil wins, one-all draws, nil-nils.
"They've managed games well. Scored early and defended really well, or scored late and saw the game out."
The Swans have conceded just three goals in their five away league games this season, and they travel to Lancashire with almost a full-strength squad.
Clement added: "The only player not available, he's got a long-term injury, is Kyle Bartley.
"Everyone else is fit and available for selection, so those who were injured before the last game, Martin Olsson, Wilfried Bony and Renato Sanches, are available and the other international players who went away, came back fit."
Clement said the players seem relaxed and ready to fight for their top tier status over the next few weeks and months: "We broke from the norm [during the international break].
"We went to the beach, we went ten-pin bowling after training yesterday to mix it up. The players are focused.
"I sense an upbeat atmosphere going into this next game."
