Swansea boss Paul Clement remains safe in his job for now, with owners Steve Kaplan and Jason Levien keen to give him time to stem their flow of defeats.
Sky Sports News understands the owners believe Clement is still the man to sort out their current problems and his future will not depend on the crucial visit of Bournemouth to the Liberty Stadium on Saturday.
Kaplan ended a five-day trip to the UK when he flew back to the US on Monday morning, after witnessing the Swans' fourth successive Premier League defeat - a 2-0 loss at Burnley - and their eighth of the season.
During that trip, Kaplan is understood to have held talks to fine-tune Swansea's strategy for the January transfer window - with Clement playing a key role in the club's recruitment process.
Clement is approaching a year in charge in South Wales and both Levien and Kaplan are well aware of the way he turned the club's fortunes around upon his appointment last season, including a run of four wins in five games that secured their Premier League survival.
The Englishman's job is further complicated by a back injury to his top scorer Tammy Abraham, who was carried off on a stretcher with eight minutes to go at Turf Moor.
The Chelsea loanee is being assessed on Monday afternoon with an update on his fitness expected on Tuesday.
Clement became Swansea's fourth manager inside a year when he was appointed in December 2016, after Garry Monk's lengthy spell in charge was followed by 259 days of Francesco Guidolin and just 85 days of Bob Bradley.
Current Swansea loan player manager Alan Curtis also had two brief spells in caretaker charge during that time.
Clement's record as Swans boss stands at 13 wins, 18 defeats and four draws from 35 matches - a win percentage of 37.1.
