West Brom sign winger Oliver Burke from RB Leipzig

West Brom head coach Tony Pulis admits the club had been watching Oliver Burke for some time, after the winger signed a five-year deal at The Hawthorns

West Brom have completed the signing of winger Oliver Burke from RB Leipzig for a fee that could rise to £15m.

The 20-year-old has agreed a five-year contract with Albion and is eligible for Sunday's Premier League clash against Stoke City at The Hawthorns, live on Sky Sports PL.

Burke was a product of the Nottingham Forest academy before being signed by Leipzig and featuring in their unexpected Bundesliga title challenge last season where they finished runners-up to Bayern Munich.

The Scotland international joins summer signings Gareth Barry, Jay Rodriguez, Zhang Yuning and Ahmed Hegazi in Tony Pulis' squad and will wear the number 17 shirt for the Baggies.

Burke said: "I feel like it is a time for me to move on and play more games. I'm here, I want to impress and I want my name to be first on the team sheet."

Pulis said: "We're really pleased to get him in - the lad has got a tremendous talent.

"He's got a fantastic, raw ability but he has now also got the experience of going away from the comfort of his own area to a foreign country and experiencing life.
