Harry Kane is looking forward to facing former team-mate Kyle Walker in Tottenham’s third and final game in the United States on Saturday.

Walker will come face to face with Kane and Co in Nashville just two weeks after leaving Spurs to join Manchester City in a £50million deal.

“It’s rare to play against someone so soon after they leave but it will be nice to see him and catch up,” Kane said after Tottenham’s defeat by Roma. “Our main focus is on the whole City team and how we can exploit that and try to win.”

Spurs finished second last season, one place ahead of City. Since then, the Manchester club have spent more than £200m this summer, while Spurs are yet to make a signing.

“It’s not far from the start of the season so there won’t be too many changes from now until then but it will only be our third game,” Kane said, when asked if the match could be an indicator for the new season.

“We’ve had two competitive games here and that’s what you want in pre-season.”
