Tottenham lead the way for transfer profit in the Premier League so far this window, recouping £68m in deals with zero spent in outlays with the new season just two weeks away.

The sale of Kyle Walker to Manchester City for a record fee for an English player, alongside the sums brought in for Nabil Bentaleb, Clinton N’Jie and Federico Fazio, has seen Spurs owner Daniel Levy pocket a hefty sum.

Mauricio Pochettino is yet to make his move in the transfer market, the only Premier League with a blank in the incomings column, as reported interest in Jeremy Toljan and Ross Barkley is yet to result in anything concrete.

Chelsea are £53m down so far this summer, a deficit figure that only Manchester City and Manchester United eclipse.

Considering that £119m was spent on Alvaro Morata, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Antonio Rudiger, Chelsea have done well to recoup over half of that with the sales of peripheral players such as Juan Cuadrado and Nathan Ake.

Having broken the club-record transfer fee on striker Alexandre Lacazette, Arsenal are £35m down so far this window. Sead Kolasinac was brought in on a free transfer, whilst Wojciech Szczesny’s move to Juventus brought some cash back into the club.

The recent flurry of transfer activity from West Ham means that they are currently £18.5m down, with club-record signing Marko Arnautovic and Chicharito coming in for big fees.

They have been unable to bring a great deal of money back in though, with just over £16m regained through the sales of Darren Randolph, Harvard Nordtveit and Ashley Fletcher

Apart from Spurs, it is Crystal Palace who are the club from the capital who are closest to being in profit.

They are currently £5m down, with just Jairo Riedewald incoming for cost, Ruben Loftus-Cheek arriving on a loa deal, and Steve Mandanda on his way out.

With five weeks left of the window these figures will change, and many Tottenham fan will be hoping that the club spend some of that £68m by the end of August.
