Gylfi Sigurdsson has rejoined training with the Swansea first-team squad after missing the club's pre-season tour of the United States.

The Everton and Tottenham target withdrew from the Swans' three-match Stateside trip two weeks ago with the club reporting he was not in "the right frame of mind" to travel.

Sigurdsson has spent the past fortnight training with the Under-23 players and it was unclear whether he would link up with Paul Clement's senior squad on their return to the club's Fairwood training base on Wednesday afternoon.

But Swansea posted a picture of Sigurdsson training with the first-team squad on their official Twitter account on Wednesday evening.

It is thought Everton have made a bid of around £40million for the Icelandic playmaker, with potential add-ons that could take a final package closer to £45million.

But Swansea value Sigurdsson at £50million and it remains to be seen whether Everton will table a fresh offer.

Speaking ahead of Thursday's Europa League tie against Slovakians MFK Ruzomberok, Everton boss Ronald Koeman said: "Of course we have interest in the player.

"But I don't know (if we will go back for Sigurdsson)."
