Kieran Trippier hobbled out during the first half of Tottenham's friendly with Juventus after suffering a twisted ankle.

Trippier had already been seen to by Spurs medical staff following a heavy collision with Chelsea target Alex Sandro on the halfway line.

The Tottenham man appeared to land awkwardly on his knee, but indicated his intention to try and run the problem off.

He struggled to get to a Harry Kane pass down the left flank moments later and wasn't moving freely for a spell, but showed little sign of any lasting issue when he laid on the opener at Wembley.

Tottenham's first-choice right-back sent over the cross for Kane to head into Gianluigi Buffon's goal.

But another full-blooded challenge, again with Sandro, spelt the end of Trippier's afternoon. The Spurs man quickly signalled for a substitution after the full-blooded collision and told Premier Sports he had suffered a twisted ankle.

Tottenham open their Premier League campaign against Newcastle on August 13.
