The representatives of Tottenham target Lucas Moura will meet with Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli on Wednesday, according to Sky Sports.
Moura has been strongly linked with a move to Spurs after admitting he is unhappy at Paris Saint-Germain – he is also attracting interest from Arsenal and the Chinese Super League.
If Sky’s report is true, it seems Napoli are pushing ahead as favourites to sign the 25-year-old Brazilian.
Tottenham are also believed to be keen on Bordeaux winger Malcom, although his current employers have confirmed he won’t be leaving the Ligue 1 club in January.
I don’t expect Spurs to sign anyone this month, but they may be forced to move for their targets sooner than expected so that they don’t miss out.
