Theo Walcott is hoping he has given Arsene Wenger a selection headache for the FA Cup final after his first-half hat-trick against West Brom on Sunday.

The crowd were treated to some superb goals as Jack Wilshere joined Walcott on the score-sheet to lead the home side to a 4-1 win with Walcott firing home his hat-trick before half-time on his return to the starting line-up.

Walcott, who is yet to sign a new contract with talks due to continue during the summer, believes Arsenal can end the campaign in style against Aston Villa at Wembley on Saturday.

The forward told the club’s official site: “I just want to play football and getting a hat-trick on the last day of the season after having limited opportunities, it was just nice to go out there to show what I can do. Hopefully the fans were very happy with that.

"There is a good sense of belief in this team - we can take it into the weekend and hopefully get another trophy.

"When it is free-flowing football, we are impossible to play against."

It looks like Arsenal will also be without Danny Welbeck at Wembley, making the forward a doubt for England after being called into the squad by Roy Hodgson.

The 24-year-old hasn’t featured for the team since the 0-0 draw with Chelsea in April when he came on as a substitute in the 76th minute.

The national side play a friendly against the Republic of Ireland on June 7, which will be followed by a Euro 2016 qualifier away to Slovenia a week later.

"Welbeck will be short because he has not practised yet,” said Wenger.

"Arteta is a possibility, because he is back in full training along with defender Mathieu Debuchy  - another who has a chance to be involved after a hamstring injury.”

Arsenal will compete in their 19th FA Cup Final when they face Aston Villa, and if they win it will be the 12th time - both of which will be a new record.
