As we rapidly approach Deadline Day, Manchester City are not only looking to bring in Alexis Sánchez and Jonny Evans and maybe someone else, they’re also looking to send a few players away.

One of them is defender Tosin Adarabioyo, who signed a new four-year contract in the summer and was hoping to stay with the first team this season. But Tosin won’t get to play a lot as it is and he’ll definitely not play if Jonny Evans comes, so it might be a good idea to send him away on loan.

And according to a report from the Mirror, Adarabioyo will join Championship club Sunderland on Thursday. Jason Denayer was loaned from City to the Black Cats last season, so it’ll be easy for the two clubs to do business.

Denayer played a lot of minutes under David Moyes and new manager Simon Grayson favor using young players, so Adarabioyo will get some vital experience in a league where defenders usually have a lot of work to do. We’re now waiting for an official word from City, but this should go through at any moment.
